While most people who are highly creative probably already know that their brains function a little differently than most others’, it’s actually been proven. Creative types, like the artist, musician, and writer, often like to reside within the world that they’ve built for themselves upstairs in their heads.
This has the potential to cause strain in relationships, but they’re more than worth it. Just remember these five things if you find yourself loving a creative type:
They cannot stop the speed of their brains
Seemingly churning at full speed at all hours of the day, the creative person’s mind can be a burden at times. Their sleep cycles can be irregular and they’re often rushing from task to task as their day progresses, making it hard to keep up with them.
They’re cyclical beings
Creativity is cyclical for the creative type, meaning they are often down on themselves, only to be right back up the next minute. They have a natural talent to ebb and flow with the currents of life. So, never let their downness get you down, because they won’t stay down for long.
They enjoy time to themselves
The creative person likes solitude because it provides an opportunity to be alone and in their mind. They often go quiet in social settings, causing others to think something is wrong, but do not worry, they are simply working through things in their head.
They possess great focus
Focus for the creative type is almost sacred. So, when they’re in their zone, there’s no taking them out of it. Knowing when they’ve entered their focus is easy though. It’s dealing with the shifts from intense focus to scatter-brain that can be difficult. Try not to get too flustered with them.
They feel intensely
Creative types often experience things at a greater level than others. They’re quite intense at times. Things that you might be able to brush off without a second thought might just crush their soul. However, it is this same intensity that they bring when loving a person, so you take the good with the bad.
